Day In The Park Cloche

The Day in the Park Cloche pattern is now up on Ravelry!

This cute cloche pattern was originally designed as a gift for twin baby girls. I had two contrasting colors of yarn and wanted to make adorable hats that matched but used both of the colors in some way that contrasted (those original hats are posted here).

The resulting pattern is the Day in the Park Cloche, a sweet little brimmed hat.

The pattern has four  sizes for newborns through 18 month old babies.

The great thing about this hat and the yardage you get with Jojoland Tonic yarn (or another DK weight yarn with about 220 yards per skein) is that you can knit both the smallest and largest sizes in contrasting colors  with your two skeins. You can gift a new baby with one hat that fits now and another that will fit later.

Of course in addition to the cute and girly pink and turquoise, I had to get some orange and black. It’s officially baseball season in Baltimore and I had to knit up a sample hat in Orioles orange.
